MAK Industrial Water Solutions

MAK Success Stories

2004 - We obtained service work from a remote community who had an RO unit that was frequently 'breaking down' causing the community to go without water for extended periods. Since our involvement, the unit has had many process changes enabling the unit to operate autonomously without the need for breakdown maintenance.

2004 - Design, fabrication and installation of a 50m3/day brackish water RO unit. This unit supplied potable water for the mines camp.

2004 - Supply of a 12m3/day brackish water RO unit. This unit was installed to produce high quality process water. The unit has run efficiently since commissioning.

2005 - We were engaged to maintain two 'salt water' RO units on a mine site that was experiencing frequent breakdowns and general poor performance from the units. The site now only 'trucks' in a minimal amount of water because the RO units are now reliable and operate as per design.

2005 - Upgrade of an existing RO unit to increase permeate output by 15%.

2006 - Refurbishment of an existing RO plant. We received a containerized unit in pieces delivered to our workshop. Our client required the unit to be fully operational within four weeks. Within this period, we made modifications/repairs to pre-treatment, pumps, skid, filters and membranes. Pipework was removed and replaced and the unit was 'pre-commissioned' and tested to our 'simulations' in our Malaga workshop. We then sent the unit to the site where it now operates within design parameters.

2006 - Refurbishment of UV sterilization skid required for a mine site located overseas.

2006 - Rectification of a RO unit in poor condition. This particular unit was requiring four membrane changes a year. MAK traveled to site, offered solutions and fixed the fault. Since MAK's involvement on site, the potable water has easily meet ADWG and the RO unit has operated within design parameters.
