Technical Sales Engineer - Water Treatment

 

THE ROLE

The primary focus of this role is to develop opportunities and secure new business for the company using established networks, private & public tendering processes and follow up on opportunities from existing clients. 

Working out of our office in Malaga, the position works closely with the other Sales Engineers, Equipment Suppliers, and the Engineering team to deliver competitive tenders and business proposals.

Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will:

  • Proactively manage existing customers and new leads
  • Develop new opportunities
  • Prepare pricing and client proposals
  • Negotiate contracts
  • Develop technical solutions that meet customer requirements (training provided)
  • Utilise the CRM system to manage inquiries from first point of contact to sale

 

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Min 2 years’ experience selling technical solutions in an industrial environment
  • Experience in the water treatment market is desirable
  • Highly motivated to achieve sales outcomes
  • Ability to seek out new opportunities and develop leads into sales
  • Ability to think critically/technically to develop tailored solutions for clients
  • Demonstrated technical ability
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work closely with top end business clients and engineering consultancies
  • Commercial/contract negotiation experience and awareness

Service Technician - Water Treatment - Victoria

THE ROLE

We are growing our Victoria Service Department and have a vacancy for a Service Technician to join the Victoria team.  Your work will predominantly be in the field covering Melbourne and the surrounding area, with some travel to sites in regional Victoria and interstate travel.  Reporting to the VIC/Tas Service Manager core duties include:

  • Completing scheduled preventative maintenance to clients' water treatment plants
  • Completing reactive and breakdown maintenance when required
  • Reporting service outcomes
  • Take responsibility for service outcomes to improve customer satisfaction
  • Assist with system upgrades and improvements
  • Participate in water treatment plant commissioning

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

The successful application will have:

  • Water treatment industry experience
  • Strong problem solving capability and technical skills
  • Have effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Be able to interpret engineering drawings and write service reports
  • Be comfortable working independently
  • Be flexible to travel to site
  • Have a valid Australian Driver’s Licence and clean driving record

FIFO Operator - Water Treatment

THE ROLE

This FIFO role is working 16 days on (including travel) and 12 days off rosters ex-Brisbane, Townsville or Rockhampton. The role is working 12 hours per day.

The principle focus of this role is to:

  • Operate and maintain the Water Treatment Facilities
  • Carry out routine and reactive maintenance
  • Trouble shoot process issues
  • Prepare activity and work order reports
  • Maintain plant inventories
  • Communicate with site operations personnel
  • Assist with additional site requirements eg pipe installation and repair fittings, upgrades etc.
  • Assisting in the management of asset registers and asset life cycle

 

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Certificate III/ IV in Water Treatment is essential
  • Current QLD Plumbing Licence is desirable
  • Minimum 2 years’ operational experience
  • Computer/iPad literacy
  • Demonstrated problem solving capability
  • Initiative to manage unexpected issues independently
  • Good communication skills
  • Water treatment experience

As these roles are based on a QLD coal mine, applicants with experience working on similar sites and holding White Card, Standard 11 Certificate, Mining Supervisor (S123) and Coal Board Medical will be looked at favourably, but this is not essential.
