Former CCI President, Peter Hood, has been elected President of the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) at the recent ACCI General Meeting in Canberra.
“Peter brings a wealth of business experience and vital knowledge of both the Western Australian and Australian business sectors. He will certainly be a strong advocate for business on the national stage,” CCI Acting Chief Executive Jonathan Bowler said.
As well as being a former President of CCI, Mr Hood has been a long standing Member of the CCI Board and peak policy forum General Council. He is the Chairman of Matrix Composites and Engineering Ltd, Chair of MAK Industrial Water Solutions Pty Ltd and Non Executive Director of GR Engineering Services Ltd.
“With a new Federal government in place, its vital business remains at the forefront of the policy debate and Governments look to make the necessary reforms to make it easier to do business,” ACCI President Peter Hood said.
Current CCI President, Tracey Horton, the Non Executive Director Automotive Holdings Group, has also been elected to the ACCI Board, joining CCI Immediate Past President John Atkins and ACCI President Peter Hood.
