Membrane Bio Reactor (MBR)
A Membrane Bio Reactor (MBR) type Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) is a combination of two well proven processes used in wastewater treatment – biological degradation and membrane separation – into a single process where suspended solids and microorganisms responsible for biodegradation are separated from the treated water by the membrane filtration (UF) system.
MAK Water manufactures containerised MBR plants, with all the biological treatment tanks and membrane filtration system housed within a compact 20 or 40 foot shipping container. These containerised plants are readily deployed and require minimal site work to install and commission.
A MAK Water sewage treatment plant is capable of treating effluent to ‘Class A’ water.
In addition to the MBR, MAK Water can provide all the auxiliary equipment such as Sewage Pump Wells, Inlet Screens and Influent/Effluent storage tanks.
Submerged Aerated Filter (SAF)
MAK Water also offers a Submerged Aerated Filter (SAF) waste water treatment plant. Designed to treat domestic strength sewage to achieve 'Class C' treated effluent, this system is suitable for reuse in 'risk category low' applications or for disposal via spray field. With the addition of the optional Tertiary Filtration & Sterilisation module, 'Class A' treated effluent, suitable for reuse in 'risk category medium' applications can be achieved.
