Our history
Founded in 2003 as a water treatment reliability and maintenance specialist, MAK Water has grown into one of Australia’s leading water, wastewater and sewage treatment providers. Through ongoing investment in technology, engineering and service capability, MAK Water helps clients solve increasingly complex water treatment challenges with customised solutions tailored to their needs.
In 2013, MAK Water acquired industrial water equipment manufacturer Clearmake™, adding oil-water separation, clarification and water recycling technologies to its portfolio.
Baldwin Industrial Systems joined the MAK Water Group in 2026, expanding the company’s capability in complex industrial wastewater treatment through proven oil separation technologies and strengthening support for industrial clients across Australia.
As a combined entity, the business has been successfully operating for more than 30 years, employs over 130 people across Australia and has installed in excess of 5,000 systems throughout Australasia and Southeast Asia.

Manufacturing in Australia
Headquartered in the north-east Perth suburb of Malaga, with local offices around Australia, MAK Water is proud to be the leading Australian owned and operated manufacturer and service provider for water treatment infrastructure.
Our expansive factory and head office in Perth, WA allows us to engineer and construct complete containerised and skid-mounted water and wastewater treatment plants as well as significant sub-assemblies for plants requiring construction at client’s sites in purpose build sheds. All MAK Water plants go through a comprehensive Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) prior to despatch to our customers to ensure smooth installation and project comissioning of your investment in water infrastructure.
