Lamella Clarifier (LC)
Infrastructure & Urban Development
Brisbane, Queensland
BACKGROUND
Our client located in the Port of Brisbane, handles the receival and loading of shipments. Containers are kept onsite and washed down to remove debris, soil, etc. to protect Australia’s delicate ecosystems from foreign contamination. This wash water is treated with a lamella clarifier combined with coagulation and flocculation prior to safe discharge.
After 10 years their existing lamella clarifier succumbed to crack at the base that could not be easily fixed. A replacement clarifier was required to replace this existing treatment. All associated equipment was in working order and did not require replacement.
MAK Water was called to help with a timely, cost-effective and efficient solution.
