MAK Water was honoured on Friday 20th May 2022 to receive a visit from Prime Minister Scott Morrison and Mrs. Morrison at our Malaga Headquarters.
MAK Water’s CEO Andy Byk was out of action with COVID so the Chairman, Peter Hood AO, showed the Prime Minister the factory and inspected some of the 12 water treatment plants currently under-construction, including a project for the Centre for National Resilience under construction in Bullsbrook, Western Australia and a 3.7ML/day desalination plant for a remote mine in New South Wales.
The highlight of the Prime Minister’s visit was news that we have been awarded a $2 million grant under the Supply Chain Resilience Initiative, for us to invest in more on-shore manufacturing in Australia.
