Construction
Manufactured using durable, corrosion-resistant materials and available with optional decanter systems, integrated waste oil storage and transfer pumps, MAK Water's Oil Skimmers deliver dependable performance with minimal maintenance requirements.
Removing oil at the source can reduce operating costs, improve wastewater treatment efficiency, extend equipment life and support environmental compliance objectives.
Mechanism
Mechanical oil skimmers work by exploiting the natural tendency of oil to float on water. A continuously moving belt or floating tube attracts and collects oil from the liquid surface, while specialised wiper assemblies separate the recovered oil for collection and disposal.
Available in multiple configurations, skimmers can be tailored to suit varying tank sizes, oil types and site requirements.
